Redress Design Award Released 2022 Finalists' Photoshoot 'Repackaged'
Redress, the environmental NGO working to reduce fashion’s waste, has produced an editorial photoshoot offering a glimpse into the upcoming runway looks from the finalists of the Redress Design Award 2022, which will be showcased at the Grand Final Fashion Presentation on 7 September, to be held at ArtisTree in Hong Kong and licestreamed to the world.
The photoshoot is titled ‘Repackaged’, and inspired by the raw aesthetics of paper and cardboard industrial Kieran Ho and The Buffacoe, and inspired by the raw aesthetics of paper and cardboard industrial packaging. The theme of the shoot is intended to both remind us of the vast journey our clothing takes to get to us and showcase the potential for textile waste to be turned into something beautiful and new – reflecting the Redress Design Award’s creative legacy of revaluing waste.

The finalists will be unveiled globally next month with their sustainable collections. They utilize zero waste, upgrades Design technologies such as recycling and reconstruction implement the design concepts of low environmental impact materials and production processes, and low waste, extending the service life of clothing and recycle. Whether it’s leftover yarn collected from the family of weavers, or sarees and shawls that are no longer needed in the family’s wardrobe, designers choose materials. Demonstrated its creativity and innovative thinking.
