Deloitte and Global Fashion Agenda launch Fashion Impact Toolkit to advance industry sustainability

In a major step toward transforming the global textile and apparel industry, Deloitte Global and Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) have launched the Fashion Impact Toolkit — a comprehensive digital resource designed to help businesses identify, manage, and reduce sustainability impacts across the textile value chain.

With growing calls for sustainable economic transformation, particularly in the textile, clothing, and footwear sectors, the Toolkit responds to the urgent need for collaborative, data-driven solutions. The industry’s complex supply chains make it difficult to trace environmental and social impacts, underscoring the need for tools that provide clarity and actionable insights.

The Fashion Impact Toolkit is interactive and intuitive, allowing users to select value chain stages (such as raw material sourcing, production, or end-of-life), apply material filters, and access impact data mapped against the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and geography. It identifies over 3,000 potential impacts across the value chain and highlights design as a critical stage, where up to 80% of a product’s environmental impact is determined.

By helping businesses integrate sustainability insights into decision-making, the Toolkit encourages transparency, supplier collaboration, and innovation, enabling the shift toward more inclusive and circular production models. This initiative not only supports fashion brands in complying with emerging regulations but also empowers them to become proactive agents in the global sustainability transition.
