Theory Wardrove showcases upcycling collections from Donghua University students
In October 2023, the urban minimalist and modern fashion brand Theory, which originated from New York, USA, adhered to the brand spirit of creating meaningful fashion, and collaborated with Donghua University to launch the "Theory Wardrobe Selection and Sustainable Fashion Exhibition" at the Wenqi Bookstore on the campus of Donghua University (Yan'an Road). Mr. Koji Tatsumi, Chief Operating Officer of Theory Greater China, Professor Wei Li, Vice President of Donghua University, and Professor Wang Zhiwei, Deputy Dean of the School of Fashion and Design of Donghua University, attended the event in person, along with Donghua University faculty and students.
This event showcases the global classic best-selling Theory Wardrobe series, which is inspired by the urban elite's wardrobes in New York City. The classic black, white, and gray colors create a simple and elegant style for the wardrobe, using high-quality materials that have always been a hallmark of Theory. The exquisite tailoring of the entire product combines minimalism with quality.
Based on Theory's consistent sustainability philosophy, this event also features outstanding student works from the collaborative project between Theory and Donghua University in Shanghai. Students recreated their works with a new perspective and inspiration, using Theory's fabric advantages to achieve sustainable products through ideas such as deconstruction and restructuring.
