Redress launches interactive sustainable fashion exhibition in Sham Shui Po
Explore the environmental cost of what we wear in a powerful new interactive exhibition from Redress, Asia’s leading advocate for sustainable fashion. Taking place from 9 May to 16 June at DX Design Hub in Sham Shui Po, this free-entry, interactive experience invites the public to discover the pressing issues of overproduction and overconsumption in the fashion industry, while also celebrating innovative solutions that are shaping a more circular future.
Redress is a Hong Kong-based, Asia-focused environmental NGO on a mission to accelerate the transition to a circular fashion industry by educating and empowering designers and consumers to reduce clothing’s negative environmental impacts.
Organised by Redress and co-organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre, the exhibition is supported by the Creative and Cultural Industries Development Agency. Visitors will see firsthand how fashion waste and pollution are impacting our planet, touch a wide variety of textiles to understand the materials in their wardrobes better, and gain insights into how circular design principles can reduce the industry’s environmental impact.
Running alongside the 15th edition of the Redress Design Award—the world’s largest sustainable fashion design competition—the exhibition also marks Get Redressed Month, Hong Kong’s largest clothing awareness campaign since its launch in 2018. These dual milestones underscore the growing momentum in sustainable fashion and the crucial role both designers and consumers play in driving systemic change.
