Cartier invites you to explore Fabrice Hyber’s "The Valley"

The Cartier Contemporary Art Foundation, in collaboration with the Power Station of Art in Shanghai, presents French artist Fabrice Hyber's solo exhibition The Valley. The exhibition gathers over 70 of Hyber's representative works from the 1990s to the present, including more than 20 new pieces created specially for Shanghai. Also on display are Hyber's newly created porcelain paintings from Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China.

The Valley offers a comprehensive overview of his artistic career, showcasing his diverse talents across painting, sculpture, installation, and video art. The exhibition explores themes such as nature, science, and philosophy, reflecting Hyber's unique artistic vision and creative practice.

In addition to the exhibition, the Cartier Contemporary Art Foundation and the Power Station of Art have launched a podcast series titled The Valley on the Xiaoyuzhou platform. Six podcasts, including "Natural History," "Genius Girlfriend Goes Horse Stealing," and "Natural Selection," delve into Hyber's artistic world from various perspectives such as art, philosophy, science, and ecology.

The "... from the valley" exhibition and podcast series provide audiences with a unique opportunity to explore Fabrice Hyber's artistic universe. Through these initiatives, Cartier continues to support contemporary art and foster cultural exchange between China and France.

The exhibition runs from early April to June 29, 2025, at the Power Station of Art in Shanghai. For more information, visit the museum's official website or follow the Cartier Contemporary Art Foundation on social media.
