L'OCCITANE en Provence Partnered with Plastic Odyssey for the Hong Kong Expedition

L’OCCITANE en Provence, a renowned skincare brand dedicated to crafting natural and efficient cosmetics, took a bold step towards environmental sustainability by sponsoring Plastic Odyssey, a global maritime expedition focused on combating plastic pollution. From October 13 to 27, Plastic Odyssey docked in Hong Kong, presenting a unique opportunity for the public to engage with this pivotal mission.

As the main sponsor, L’OCCITANE en Provence invited the public to embark on a 60-minute journey aboard the Plastic Odyssey vessel. This exclusive tour showcased the ship’s innovative features and the tireless efforts of its crew in tackling the pressing challenge of plastic waste. Visitors had the chance to explore the vessel’s recycling workspace and learn about its “zero waste and zero plastic” living spaces, designed to inspire sustainable practices for the future.

The immersive experience aimed to educate and motivate visitors about transforming plastic waste into valuable resources and fostering a circular economy. After the tour, participants could head to the ship's bow for a memorable photo opportunity.

Since its inception in 1976 by Olivier Baussan, L’OCCITANE en Provence has been creating skincare products with essential oils and natural fragrances, grounded in the principles of phytotherapy and aromatherapy.
