iSpring Collaborates with Zhai Yiwei to Bring Traditional Jade Carving into Daily Wear
Hetian jade jewelry brand iSpring has partnered with Zhai Yiwei, a master inheritor of Shanghai-style jade carving, to reimagine the spiritual relationship between jade and contemporary life. Rooted in Eastern aesthetics, the collaboration integrates traditional jade craftsmanship with modern design language, moving jade carving from a practice of collection and display toward one of everyday wearing and personal connection.
Drawing on Zhai Yiwei’s more than four decades of intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship, the project translates the philosophical essence of classical jade carving—harmony between humans and nature, and unity between object and self—into forms, textures, and light suitable for modern wear. Through this non-heritage transmission initiative, iSpring aims to bring jade back into daily life, allowing wearers to engage directly with the cultural depth and humanistic values embedded in Eastern art traditions.
