Yves Rocher launches fully recyclable eco-refills

French beauty brand Yves Rocher has introduced fully recyclable eco-refills for its esteemed body care line, Bain de Nature. This initiative not only sets a new standard in the beauty industry but also underscores Yves Rocher's unwavering commitment to environmental responsibility.

The Bain de Nature Eco-refill range represents a significant milestone in the quest for eco-friendly solutions. Comprising 90 percent certified ocean-bound recycled plastic sourced from waste plastics collected from coastlines, these eco-refills are among the first of their kind. By opting for materials that are environmentally conscious, Yves Rocher is leading the charge in combating global plastic pollution.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the Bain de Nature Eco-refill range is its remarkable reduction in plastic usage. Compared to the standard 400ml bottle, these eco-refills use four times less plastic, resulting in an 80 percent reduction overall. This reduction not only minimizes Yves Rocher's reliance on virgin plastic but also reinforces its dedication to sustainable practices.

Yves Rocher's partnership with supplier Plastics For Change further amplifies its commitment to environmental stewardship. By sourcing recycled plastic from India, specifically Ocean Bound Plastic, the brand is poised to diminish its use of virgin plastic by an impressive 120 tons annually. This collaboration highlights Yves Rocher's holistic approach to sustainability, ensuring that every aspect of its supply chain aligns with its core values.

The launch of the Bain de Nature Eco-refill range is part of Yves Rocher's larger 'Act Beautiful' movement, which advocates for natural and responsible beauty practices. Among its 10 action points for a more sustainable future, Yves Rocher aims to eco-design packaging with reduced plastic usage, with a target of reducing plastic consumption by 30 percent by 2030. With initiatives like the eco-refill range, Yves Rocher is not only setting ambitious goals but also actively working towards achieving them, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable beauty industry.
