WFSGI Launches Sustainability Academy with XU Group, Powered by EY Content

The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) has announced a new collaboration with XU Group to launch the WFSGI Sustainability Academy, a sector-first learning platform designed to build ESG capabilities across the global sporting goods industry. The platform is powered by EY’s Sustainability and Sports Content.

Developed in response to growing member demand for practical and industry-specific ESG upskilling, the Academy supports WFSGI’s sustainability strategy by offering scalable learning pathways tailored to the sporting goods ecosystem. The curriculum spans six core areas, including Environment, Social, Governance, implementation roadmaps, sustainable value creation, and sustainability fundamentals.

The platform combines masterclasses, micro-learning modules, interactive content, case studies, and certification, with optional live sessions and AI-enabled custom content via XU Group’s Education-as-a-Service model. Topics range from CSRD compliance and sustainable supply chains to circular economy applications and climate-action roadmaps.

Exclusively available to WFSGI members through preferential licensing models, the Sustainability Academy aims to strengthen in-house ESG expertise, support operational transformation, and reduce reliance on external consulting as regulatory and market expectations continue to rise.
