UGG® x Gallery Dept. redefines classic footwear with renewable, eco-friendly materials

GALLERY DEPT. and UGG first got together back in February, when Josué Thomas‘ unisex streetwear outfitter iced out the fuzzy footwear imprint’s Tasman Slipper and Classic Short Boot, covering both classic models in colorful jewels. The duo is linking up once again, placing Thomas’ passion for upcycling at the crux of the second collaboration; with a stitched Cowboy Boot standing tall as the standout offering, GALLERY DEPT. sourced regenerative leather, recycled denim, and surplus canvas bags to reimagine a total of four classic UGG silhouettes.

A redefining of the Cowboy Boot through the pair’s unique dual-minded lens, the UGG GALLERY DEPT. Stitched Boot comes covered in a neutral brown hue and elevated with all-around embroidery. With a durable lug outsole, the shoe is crafted almost fully from waterproof leather. Another standout offering is the UGG GALLERY DEPT. Denim Boot. Crafted from recycled denim, each Denim Boot is one-of-one.

Rounding out the range are two Canvas silhouettes – the UGG GALLERY DEPT. Canvas Boot and the UGG GALLERY DEPT. Canvas Tasman – both of which are built from recycled canvas bags. The Canvas Boot even comes equipped with a handle, pocket, and clip from the surplus bags.
