Ralph Lauren reduces its absolute emissions by 33%
Ralph Lauren has announced a significant milestone in its sustainability journey, reporting a 33% reduction in absolute emissions compared to 2020 levels, as highlighted in the company's 2024 Global Citizenship & Sustainability Report released on Wednesday.
The report details Ralph Lauren’s ongoing progress toward sustainability and social responsibility goals, including notable advancements in product innovation and community engagement. Among the key achievements are the introduction of sustainable products like the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Certified® Denim Flag Trucker Jacket and the world’s first Global Recycled Standard (GRS)-certified 100% Recycled Cotton Polo. The brand also debuted its first collection of Responsible Wool Standard (RWS)-certified sweaters, further demonstrating its commitment to sustainable fashion.
Ralph Lauren continues to phase out coal from its manufacturing supply chain as part of its broader efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its operations. In addition to sustainability efforts, the report highlights the launch of the Artist in Residence program, featuring Diné (Navajo) artisan Naiomi Glasses. This collaboration produced three signature collections and set a precedent for future cultural partnerships that are mutually beneficial.
Looking ahead, Ralph Lauren is set to open the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at the University of Southern California Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in October, strengthening the company’s dedication to health and community wellness. The center is funded in part by a grant from The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation.
