Mulberry puts offcuts to good use with sustainable dog collection
Two rising trends—luxury pet products and sustainable manufacturing—have converged in Mulberry’s latest offering. The British lifestyle brand is set to launch a capsule collection for dogs this May, blending its heritage with eco-conscious design.
Priced starting at £150, the eight-piece range draws inspiration from Mulberry’s roots in the UK, whether the rolling countryside of Somerset or the urban parks of London. The collection reflects the brand’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, utilizing leather offcuts from its production process and crafted at The Rookery, one of Mulberry’s two carbon-neutral factories in Somerset. All leather used in the collection is sourced from environmentally accredited tanneries, a standard across the brand’s product lines.
The standout item is a limited-edition Oxblood toy dog carrier, with just 50 pieces available. Designed for comfort and practicality, the carrier features a head opening and a secure internal strap. Complementing the carrier are two types of leashes: a handheld option for countryside strolls and a crossbody design for hands-free city walks, alongside a dog collar available in multiple sizes.
Additional accessories include two “pooch-shaped” lanyards, a Lily treat bag, and a Bayswater waste disposal carrier, rounding out the functional yet stylish collection.
By repurposing materials and prioritizing eco-friendly practices, Mulberry’s new pet range not only caters to luxury-loving pet owners but also underscores the brand’s dedication to reducing waste while celebrating British craftsmanship.
