Researchers at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS), in collaboration with Dutch textile recycling firm i-did, have launched the 'Regenerative Leadership Transformation Toolkit'. This innovative resource is designed to equip designers and entrepreneurs with the strategies and tools necessary to foster regenerative and sustainable practices within the fashion and textile sectors. The toolkit is the brainchild of a research project led by THUAS researchers, including senior circular business researcher Ishwari Thopte.

The concept of regeneration in sustainability is one that prioritizes not just reducing harm but actively enhancing the environment and society. Dr. Kim Poldner, a lecturer in circular entrepreneurship at THUAS, highlights the stagnation in the transition to a circular economy due to continuous consumption. The toolkit is positioned as a solution that encourages personal responsibility and influence, facilitating an inner transformation required for tangible sustainability changes within circular businesses.

Structured around principles from the ancient Indian chakra system, the toolkit offers leadership development and includes practical aids such as templates and checklists. This four-page interactive PDF is accessible online through the school's English-language news release, offering a tangible step towards cultivating a new generation of regenerative leaders in the fashion industry.
