Gucci teamed up with Barbour on an upcycling project

In a groundbreaking move towards sustainability, iconic fashion houses Gucci and Barbour have joined forces to unveil an extraordinary collection under the banner of Gucci Continuum's forward-thinking initiative. This groundbreaking collaboration is centered around repurposing deadstock fabrics from Gucci's archives, ingeniously transformed by Barbour's Re-Loved program.

The exclusive 12-piece range incorporates exquisite deadstock Gucci fabrics and discarded accessories, weaving a narrative that bridges the past and present of both brands. Gucci Continuum's innovative approach, spanning both digital and physical realms, converges with Barbour's classic craftsmanship to introduce a series of reconditioned and re-waxed jackets, each carrying a unique tale spanning over two centuries.

This groundbreaking collaboration includes eight unisex jackets and three gilets, featuring hallmark Gucci themes such as "Flora," "Equestrianism," "English Gardens," and "Evening." The collection maintains Barbour's timeless silhouettes, accentuating the classic Barbour wax cotton Bedale jacket and the iconic Beaufort jacket. The designs showcase meticulous craftsmanship, with elements like blooming florals, silk hoods, and signature red velvet textures curated from Gucci's iconic past collections. Notably, the beloved Bedale jacket has been transformed into gilets, ingeniously repurposed from discarded Gucci handbags.

This sustainable capsule collection celebrates a harmonious blend of heritage and innovation, reflecting both brands' commitment to a circular fashion future. Available through Gucci and select global retailers, this limited-edition line is a testament to the brand's dedication to sustainability and artistic reimagination.
