Gucci Renews Gender Equality Certification in Italy, Advancing Inclusion and Climate Commitments
Gucci has renewed its Gender Equality certification in Italy following a recertification audit conducted by Bureau Veritas Italia, reaffirming the luxury house’s long-term commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable workplace. Covering 14 Italian entities across the brand’s corporate, retail and industrial operations, the assessment evaluated performance in six key areas, including governance, corporate culture, career development for women, gender pay equity, and support for parenthood and work-life balance. The milestone is highlighted in Gucci’s newly released Gucci Equilibrium Impact Report 2025, which outlines the company’s latest progress across its people and sustainability agenda.
Alongside its social impact achievements, Gucci reported significant environmental progress over the past year. The company reduced its absolute greenhouse gas emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 20% year-on-year, representing a 45% reduction from its 2022 baseline, while maintaining 100% renewable electricity under its RE100 commitment. The report also highlights continued advances in responsible sourcing and supply chain transparency, with 99% traceability across key raw materials and increased adoption of certified organic, recycled and responsibly sourced fibres.
Circularity initiatives also delivered measurable results, with Gucci-Up recovering 485 tonnes of unused leather and textiles, while the Gucci Scrap-less programme conserved more than 715,000 litres of water, saved 68,000 kWh of energy and avoided the use of nine tonnes of chemicals. Together, these efforts underscore Gucci’s integrated approach to advancing social inclusion and environmental responsibility across its global operations.
