Bottega Veneta presents Bottega for Bottegas 2024 as a tribute to craft
This holiday season, Bottega Veneta celebrates its roots and the rich tradition of Venetian craftsmanship with the return of its annual initiative, Bottega for Bottegas. Launched in 2021 as a response to the challenges faced by artisans during the pandemic, the project has since evolved into an annual homage to small-scale creators. For 2024, the spotlight shines on six Venetian and Venice-adjacent artisans, offering them a platform to share their work with a global audience.
Throughout December, nearly all of Bottega Veneta's advertising spaces — from shop windows to its website and newsletters — will be dedicated to these artists. Featured creations include brass objects by Fonderia Artistica Valese, a wooden puzzle inspired by Venetian architecture from Signor Blum, leather-cased playing cards by Modiano, and exquisite Murano glass pieces by Laguna~B, Bruno Amadi, and Wave Murano Glass. Each of these works reflects the deep cultural heritage and timeless artistry of Venice, the city that has profoundly shaped Bottega Veneta itself.
Bottega Veneta, whose name translates to "Venetian workshop," continues to honor its origins through this initiative. This year's featured artisans pay homage to the city’s legacy of intergenerational craftsmanship. For example, Fonderia Artistica Valese channels the symbolic essence of Venice with its brass creations, including references to the iconic winged lion and gondola elements. Meanwhile, the Murano glass artisans reinterpret the centuries-old tradition with bold colors, modern shapes, and innovative techniques.
By offering a platform to these artisans, Bottega for Bottegas underscores Bottega Veneta's commitment to celebrating creativity, heritage, and community. What began as a pandemic-era lifeline for small workshops has grown into an enduring tradition, amplifying the voices of creators who embody the essence of artisanal craft. This year's selection, rooted in the vibrant history of Venice, is a fitting tribute to the city’s unparalleled influence on both the brand and the world of design.
This December, Bottega Veneta’s stage is entirely theirs — a heartfelt tribute to the city’s artistry and a testament to the enduring power of craft.
