66°North launches deadstock collection

Icelandic B Corp outerwear brand, 66°North, proudly announces the launch of its new collection crafted from deadstock fabric and surplus materials. This innovative move is part of the brand's commitment to slowing down the production of 'new' items and draws inspiration from the intrinsic Icelandic value of minimizing waste.

The limited-edition 'Kría' collection, comprising seven pieces, derives its name from the Arctic Tern that nests along Iceland's coastline. Designed for casual spring wear and festival season styling, the collection features an array of jumpers, jackets, and trousers.

Key pieces within the 'Kría' collection include a cropped zip neck fleece jumper and fleece vest crafted from Polartec fleece fabrication, versatile two-in-one trousers that easily convert into shorts, a water-resistant bucket hat, and a cross-body bag.

Returning as part of the capsule is the Kría Jacket, originally introduced in the brand's SS23 collaboration with Ganni. This time, it appears in a cropped silhouette, drawing inspiration from 66°North's inaugural outdoor performance jacket. Constructed from Polartec's NeoShell fabric, the jacket offers exceptional breathability and wind and water resistance. Nearly all pieces in the capsule collection are made from 'deadstock' fabrics, with the exception of an oversized loose T-shirt crafted from organic cotton.
