Tmall Green Living Launches Anti-Abandonment Campaign for Stray Animals
Tmall Green Living has launched the “Don’t Let Trash Become Their Home” campaign with Tmall Pet, Ta Foundation and participating pet-care brands around International Homeless Animals Day. The campaign uses an advertising film that portrays abandoned pets through the perspective of discarded toys, highlighting how animals can be left behind when owners move, graduate, face illness or simply lose interest. The campaign further visualises the issue by transforming everyday waste — including garbage bags, discarded delivery boxes and disposable cups — into makeshift cat houses, dog houses and hammocks, carrying the message that discarded materials should not become a stray animal’s home.
The initiative combines awareness-building with practical support and responsible pet-care education. Tmall Green Living has partnered with brands to assist stray animals while encouraging consumers to adopt more informed approaches to pet ownership. The campaign continues the platform’s focus on preventing pet abandonment, following last year’s “Think Before You Adopt” initiative. By connecting responsible consumption, pet welfare, and circular living concepts, Tmall Green Living aims to make the message of “no abandonment, lifelong responsibility” a more visible part of everyday consumer culture.
