The R Collective's latest collection transforms garment waste into a circular capsule

Hong Kong-based sustainable fashion brand The R Collective breathed new life into a once-discarded waste stream, turning it into a cutting-edge, circular capsule collection. This bold and innovative move challenges the very essence of sustainability, combining the creative genius of renowned designer Juliana Garcia Bello with world-leading garment manufacturer, TAL Apparel.

The collection includes a Shirt Dress, Top, and Jacket, all meticulously crafted by reconstructing three distinct 100% cotton shirting waste. The relaxed silhouettes have been ingeniously conceived, featuring layered panels, contrasting fabric textures, and vibrant color accents that metamorphose the original shirt waste into wearable masterpieces.

"My capsule goes beyond mere aesthetics; it's a meaningful contribution to a more conscientious industry by pioneering novel approaches to tackle waste." -- Juliana Garcia Bello

Bello's unique design skills and innovative pattern-making techniques were scaled up in collaboration with TAL Apparel, ensuring that the collection remains responsibly designed and exceptionally durable. Together, they've breathed new life into discarded materials, pushing the boundaries of creativity while redefining fashion limits.
