Tencent Map launched China's first "small repair and convenience map"
In order to help "small repairs" such as repairing shoes and distributing keys to better return to the lives of ordinary people, WeChat and Tencent Map jointly launched the "Small Repairs and Small Repairs" Guiding Action" to create this exclusive theme map for convenient repair shops across the country. Users can search for the keyword "minor repair" in the Tencent Map App and WeChat, and they can more easily find all kinds of convenient repair shops at their doorstep.
Repairing is an integral part of the circular economy, as it promotes the reuse and extension of a product's lifespan, reducing waste and resource consumption. In February 2023, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China once again stressed the need to actively promote the construction of a convenient living circle, promote the completion of the shortcomings of convenient service facilities in accordance with the principle of "what is missing, what is made up", and let the "small repairs" such as shoe repair and key distribution return to people's lives in an orderly manner, which caused heated discussions among citizens.
It is understood that the "Small Repair" Guiding Action" screened out the geographical location and service information of more than 500,000 repair shops in more than 200 cities across the country. At present, the operation has covered seven categories, including shoe repair, lock picking, key distribution, tailor shop, bicycle repair, electric vehicle repair and watch repair, which can meet people's livelihood needs of various "minor repairs" on a daily basis.
Users only need to search for the keyword "minor repair" on WeChat or Tencent Map App, they can enter the "small repair and small repair convenience map", quickly find the "small repair and small repair" point at the doorstep, view the geographical location, façade photos, business hours, contact number, etc., and can navigate with one click.
