Taipei Fashion Week AW25 to kick off with stylish sustainability

The Taipei Fashion Week AW25, set to take place at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park from Mar. 27 to 30, accentuates sustainable fashion with its theme “Endless Fashion.” The Ministry of Culture held a press conference on Mar. 18 to unveil this year’s highlights.

Deputy Minister of Culture Sue Wang emphasized that the message of “Endless Fashion” not only reflects personal taste but also underscores the role of individuals—ranging from textile manufacturers to fashion designers—in fostering sustainability awareness. She also introduced this year’s key events at the Taipei Fashion Week, including the opening show, a sustainable fashion market, and sustainable living workshops.

The opening show will feature six fashion designers—Claudia Wang, DYCTEAM, GIOIA PAN, oqLiq, UUIN, and WEAVISM—who will integrate digital modeling technology and eco-friendly materials to create six sets of sustainable designs, presented through a 3D virtual performance.

Starting Mar. 28, seven dynamic showcases will take place at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and various venues across Taipei City. They will feature designer brands such as CHOW des HOMME, HANSEN ATELIER, INF, INMORIES, Liyu Tsai, Yenline, and Yentity.

The ministry noted that fashion has the unique ability to capture the essence of the present while shaping the future. As climate change and environmental crises become everyday concerns, Taiwan’s fashion industry is responding with concrete action, striving to set a new standard for sustainability.
