Shenzhen Fashion Week 2022 features the Redress Design Award designs in a first

As part of Shenzhen Fashion Week 2022, Hong Kong-based environmental charity Redress is presenting 8 emerging sustainable fashion brands from the previous Redress Design Award at various events from 18–24 September. It is the first time Redress will be showcased in Shenzhen, thanks to a partnership with the Shenzhen Garment Industry Association (SGIA).

The Redress Design Award is the world's largest sustainable fashion design competition, which discovered a wide range of emerging talents who are now at the forefront of a new breed of fashion designers prioritizing sustainability and circularity as much as desirability. With Shenzhen Fashion Week focusing on carbon-neutral consumption, the events fit right in with the work of Redress. The selected designers represent regions from around the world as well as some closer to home, with two brands from Mainland China and two from Hong Kong.

Each of the alumni will have five of their outfits shown in the fashion show and exhibition at Shenzhen Fashion Week. There will also be a forum on sustainable carbon consumption taking place both in-person at Sparkland and online.
