Sephora, the world's largest high-end beauty re-tail platform, has released its authoritative “Sephora China Sustainability Report 2021-2022.” The report is dedicated to enhancing and advancing Sephora's sustainable practices within the beauty industry value chain, in collaboration with employees, consumers, and partners. By fostering a sustainable "beauty power" ecosystem, Sephora aims to raise public awareness and engagement in sustainable development.

Based on LVMH's "LIFE 360" plan, Sephora China has developed a sustainable development roadmap aligned with LVMH's new environmental guidelines. Over the next seven years, Sephora China aims to implement sustainable initiatives across four key areas: climate change, circular economy, transparency, and societal well-being, establishing a green ecosystem for luxury beauty.

Sephora has already made significant progress in energy conservation and emission reduction in its store operations. Currently, more than 300 Sephora China stores have fully transitioned to energy-efficient LED lighting. In 2021, Sephora China saved 11.16 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, resulting in a reduction of 8,978 tons of carbon emissions. In May of the same year, Sephora's flagship store in Beijing's Sanlitun Taikoo Li Mall achieved LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification.

Furthermore, Sephora has launched green products that incorporate sustainable ingredients. This includes their in-house brand, Sephora Collection, which utilizes over 90% natural plant extracts and eco-friendly packaging. The newly introduced brand, Cha Ling, has initiated the "Cha Ling Conservation Tea Forest Program," ensuring that all products contain an average of 87% natural ingredients.
