Redress Design Award 2026 Opens Applications, Calling Emerging Designers to Transform Fashion Waste into Circular Innovation
The Redress Design Award 2026, the world’s leading sustainable fashion design competition, is now officially open for applications — inviting emerging designers worldwide to reimagine fashion through waste reduction, circularity, and climate‑positive creativity.
This year’s challenge calls on designers to create a contemporary collection for a modern, fashion‑forward adult, using textile waste as the primary material and guided by circular design strategies. The competition aims to accelerate the next generation of talent who can reshape the industry’s relationship with resources at a time when fashion’s waste and emissions footprint demands urgent action.
For the first stage of the application, designers need only submit three outfit sketches, which may include designs already produced or debuted. This lowers the barrier to entry while ensuring the competition remains accessible to diverse creative voices across geographies and backgrounds.
Beyond the competition itself, every applicant gains the opportunity to join the Redress Alumni Network, a global community offering ongoing career support, mentorship, and visibility within the sustainable fashion ecosystem.
Applications close on 17 April, and designers are encouraged to submit early to secure their chance to compete on one of the world’s most influential platforms for sustainable fashion innovation.
