lululemon launched the "Caring for Left-Behind Children" project in China

Sports lifestyle brand lululemon has announced a partnership with the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation to launch the "Caring for Left-Behind Children" project, officially initiating the first phase of training courses in Hebi, Henan. In the year 2023, the project will provide solid and effective professional knowledge and skills in child mental health for local child education service workers and parents in Hebi, aiming to enhance the overall physical and mental well-being of left-behind children in China.

The "China Soong Ching Ling Foundation x lululemon Caring for Left-Behind Children Project" for this year consists of four phases of training courses and activities. The first phase, a four-day basic training course, covers child directors, school counselors for mental health, social organizations and community social workers, and municipal-level psychology backbone teachers, totaling more than 300 participants.

From June to October, the project will continue with subsequent training and activities. The second phase of training will select 90 outstanding child education service professionals for in-depth training and provide them with the "Left-Behind Children's Mental Health Activity Kit."

The third phase of training will target left-behind children's parents, offering offline and online courses to popularize basic knowledge of child mental health. The fourth phase of activities will organize left-behind children to participate in a summer camp in Beijing, allowing them to experience the rich cultural history of China and engage in children's health activities and courses.

In 2021, lululemon established the "Centre for Social Impact" with the aim of supporting communities worldwide through charity, research, and advocacy activities, promoting well-being in physical, mental, and social dimensions. As an important part of lululemon's "Impact Agenda," the center aims to positively impact 10 million people by 2025 and invest at least $75 million globally and locally (approximately 500 million RMB) in communities. To achieve this vision, lululemon's "Centre for Social Impact" has donated a total of $600,000 (approximately 3.8 million RMB) in batches to the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation in 2021, mainly to support the physical and mental health development of disadvantaged youth in remote areas of China.
