Recently, L’Occitane Group announced that it has achieved B Corporation™ (B Corp) certification, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards responsible business practices. To commemorate 99 Giving Tuesday, L’Occitane Group China has partnered with Shanghai Roots & Shoots to support the “Million Tree Planting Plan” in Ningxia. The goal is to plant 100,000 shrubs, primarily Caragana intermedia and Corethrodendron scoparium, in 2023 to contribute to the restoration of the ecological system in this region. L’Occitane Group is committed to its “Respect for Biological Diversity” pledge and strives to actively promote sustainable development as a core value.

Concurrently, L’Occitane Group China is setting up bottle recycling bins in select stores to encourage consumers to bring their empty product bottles to participating stores for recycling. This effort is designed to promote circular economy and sustainable practices while reducing resource waste and environmental damage.

L’Occitane has a longstanding commitment to achieving sustainable development for both people and nature. The company has launched several initiatives in southern France to preserve natural plants and improve local ecosystems. In 2021, L’Occitane brought its “Respect for Biological Diversity” plant conservation program to China, collaborating with local partners to reforest parts of Yunnan Province to help reduce soil erosion and restore the ecological environment.

Through global initiatives that benefit both nature and the circular economy, L’Occitane Group continues to contribute to the protection and promotion of biodiversity, and aims to awaken greater consumer awareness to work towards a more sustainable environment.
