LEGO's "LeLeBox Program" marks its sixth anniversary with 66,000 donations nationwide

As the "LEGO® Box Program for Underprivileged Children" (referred to as the "LEGO Box Program") approaches its seventh year, the LEGO Group has announced the latest progress of the initiative. As of June 2024, the program has donated 66,000 LEGO® Box sets across China, trained more than 13,000 community workers and teachers, and benefited 1.63 million children in over 130 cities.

The LEGO Box Program, launched by the LEGO Group in 2019, is a corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at providing opportunities for creative play, learning, and development to children in challenging circumstances who lack access to play. Throughout the program's implementation, the LEGO Box Program has partnered with various organizations to offer training to community workers, volunteers, and teachers in rural kindergartens and schools, delivering high-quality play experiences to children with limited access to such opportunities.

Gu Jingqiu, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility for LEGO Group China, stated: "We firmly believe that play is essential to children’s growth and development. Through the LEGO Box Program, we have worked hand in hand with different partners to bring opportunities for ‘learning and developing through play’ to underprivileged children in diverse environments. We have also received positive feedback from our partners, social workers, and teachers, inspiring more people to recognize the importance of play in children’s development. In the future, we will continue to deepen the LEGO Box Program, supporting the holistic development of underprivileged children and helping them embrace a brighter future."
