Lancôme's Empty Bottle Recycling Program hit 3 years in China

Lancôme has launched the "Empty Bottle Recycling Program" in the Chinese market for three years, covering more than 330 Lancôme offline stores across the country. Hundreds of thousands of consumers participated, and the cumulative number of empty bottles recovered exceeded 10 million.

As one of the core projects of Lancôme's global sustainable development plan, the sustainable consumption project aims to reduce waste of resources by providing consumers with more sustainable beauty consumption choices by providing product replacement cores and recyclable products.

The sustainable consumption project has carried out a variety of environmental actions around the world. On June 21, 2019, Lancome has partnered with TerraCycle® to launch the "Empty Bottle Recycling Program" in China. The project covers 100% of Lancôme's offline stores nationwide, set up empty bottle recycling bins in more than 330 stores, and encourages consumers to actively participate in activities. As of August 15, 2022, Lancôme has collected and recycled more than 10 million empty bottles, with a total weight of 220 tons, which is an excellent achievement.

Through the "Empty Bottle Recycling Program", Lancome product empty bottles have been treated in the most appropriate way, which can effectively reduce the waste of resources caused by excessive use of plastic products, while reducing environmental pollution and ecological damage to the earth.
