KOLON SPORT Brings Back FOR-REST Collection, Giving High-Performance Surplus Materials a Second Life
KOLON SPORT has launched the latest FOR-REST limited collection, a long-term initiative exploring how high-performance surplus materials can be reintroduced into product design. Under the “ALL IN (THE) BLACK” concept, the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection repurposes unused GORE-TEX® 3L fabric with TRICOT backing, redesigning it into four waterproof jackets and coats that retain outdoor performance while adapting to everyday wear. Each piece carries an individual digital label identifying it as part of the limited upcycled collection.
The initiative forms part of KOLON SPORT’s wider efforts to advance circularity across materials, products and consumer engagement. Beyond surplus-material upcycling, the brand is increasing its use of recycled and bio-based materials, operating a used-clothing collection point, and promoting repair, recycling and low-impact outdoor practices through education and community programmes. The FOR-REST project reflects a broader shift from treating surplus materials as waste toward designing systems that extend their useful life and reduce pressure on natural resources.
