Kering, together with all of its Houses, participates in the 2022 China International Import Expo (CIIE) for the fourth consecutive year. Themed Blue Skies Forever, the Kering Pavilion presents the Group’s strategic vision of “Modern Luxury” by embodying its core actions and messages of sustainability as well as presenting timeless and disruptive exhibits, for the Group’s Chinese partners and consumers.

The Kering Pavilion designed by the internationally well-known architecture firm Gensler showcases the unique history and inventiveness of the renowned Kering Houses through its open circular design. In the effervescent and light pavilion, the vast expanse of the sky reflects a piece of serenity. Like a constellation with Kering at its center, each of the Houses evolves in its own direction, both free and interconnected, thus forming a balanced galaxy. The narrative “Through the clouds to see the sun in a splendid and harmonious sky” not only echoes the Group’s Chinese name, but also reflects the creativity and know-how of its Houses.

Under the peaceful and clear summer sky, an environment made of light and immaculate white calls for light and plenitude. The visitors are invited to take their time, to stop, take a breath and observe, if possible, with pleasure, the space and the various objects displayed from the Houses of Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, Qeelin and Kering Eyewear.

We are committed to driving our Houses to achieve the Group’s strategic vision of Modern Luxury with a sustainable and responsible business model, and CIIE is a fantastic platform to showcase the exceptional creativity and unique know-how of our brands.
— Jean-François Palus, Managing Director of Kering.

The Pavilion construction mobilizes modular elements and equipment which are rented for the duration of the expo and returned for reuse, a small example of circular utility. With sustainability as an essential consideration, the Pavilion itself is designed with simplicity and a minimal footprint. The concept of “through the clouds to see the sun in a splendid and harmonious sky” thus also echoes Kering’s sustainability values.

As Chair of the Special Committee for Sustainable Fashion and Lifestyle of CIIE Exhibitor Alliance for two consecutive years, on November 7, Kering supports to organize a forum titled “Beauty of Circularity - the ways to harmonious coexistence and symbiosis” during the exhibition, inviting industry experts and committee members to discuss how to promote the development of the circular economy through green consumption reform.
