HERITAGE NEXT: WWD CHINA and Chinese designers present intangible heritage innovation at Paris Fashion Week

As the inaugural chapter of WWD CHINA's five-year anniversary series, the "HERITAGE NEXT" Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Innovation Exhibition has officially joined the Paris Fashion Week schedule. In collaboration with DFS La Samaritaine, a century-old Parisian landmark under the LVMH Group, the exhibition explores global identity through cultural heritage. It features ten Chinese designers who blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation, showcasing the global influence of Chinese fashion.

Intangible cultural heritage, passed down through generations, represents a unique cultural identity for Chinese fashion on the world stage. Today, as more Chinese designers draw contemporary spirit from these traditional techniques, the cultural impact and value of Eastern aesthetics once again drive innovation within the global fashion industry. This fusion of heritage and innovation has become the defining theme for Chinese fashion as it makes its mark internationally.

Presented by WWD CHINA and DFS La Samaritaine, the "HERITAGE NEXT: Heavenly Embroidery" exhibition highlights this dynamic interplay of tradition and modernity. It reaffirms WWD CHINA's commitment to showcasing the timeless essence of Chinese craftsmanship while celebrating its evolving role in the global fashion landscape.
