Crystal International Launches Advanced Logistics Hub in China to Boost Smart Manufacturing
Crystal International Group, the Hong Kong–based apparel manufacturer, is strengthening its smart production capabilities with the launch of a new advanced logistics centre in mainland China, aimed at enhancing efficiency, automation, and sustainability across its operations.
Developed by the company’s knits division at its lifestyle wear manufacturing facility, the new hub integrates an automated cutting workshop with a centralised smart warehouse equipped with an advanced storage and retrieval system (AS/RS). The facility leverages real-time production and logistics data to optimise inventory management and delivery planning, significantly improving operational efficiency.
Powered by a rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system, the logistics centre is scheduled to begin full operations in the first quarter of 2026. Once operational, the facility is expected to reduce fabric transfer time by up to 75 percent. Autonomous material handling systems will manage the flow of fabrics and finished products from storage through to loading, while Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) will transport sewn components, creating a closed-loop automated material flow within the facility.
The project forms part of Crystal International’s Sustainability Vision 2030, which aims to transform all production sites into smart factories through technological innovation. The logistics centre marks a key milestone in the group’s ongoing transition toward intelligent manufacturing systems.
Founded in 1970, Crystal International operates more than 20 manufacturing facilities across China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, producing lifestyle wear, sportswear, denim, intimate wear, sweaters, and knitted fabrics for leading global brands through its co-creation business model. In a further move supporting its sustainability goals, the company joined Textile Exchange as a partner member in October 2025, strengthening its commitment to expanding the use of environmentally responsible materials and reducing its overall environmental footprint.
