Green Challenge Sustainable Fashion Center at The Inlet, Shanghai
On October 20th, Green Challenge partnered with Shanghai's fashion hotspot, The Inlet, to establish a Sustainable Fashion Innovation Center. Through fashion shows, pop-up exhibitions, and sustainable forums, the center serves as a platform for exchanging ideas between sustainable fashion innovators and consumers who prioritize a sustainable lifestyle. The event was a call to action, asking people to join them in "starting the new chapter of sustainable fashion."
The same evening, the 2023 Green Challenge Sustainable Fashion Design Competition's fashion show and award ceremony took place at The Inlet's Performance Studio. This year's competition received submissions from over 40 top fashion schools worldwide. After two rounds of rigorous judging, 36 winning designs were presented to the public for the first time, showcasing the next generation of designers' interpretation of sustainable fashion and the future direction of green trends.
Concurrently, the Green Challenge Sustainable Fashion Center's "Declaration Shop" opened its doors with great fanfare, witnessed by representatives from the textile industry, brands, academia, fashion associations, and the media. The "Declaration Shop", named for its symbolism of expressing love for the planet, is based on a white cloth wall with a pink theme. It is an ode to the younger generation's fashion aspirations using environmentally friendly fabrics, recycled materials, and sustainable lifestyle solutions. The exhibition is scheduled to run from now until November 29th.
