canU hosts QíngGǎnYīJìu book sharing event highlights stories behind old clothes
On February 15, 2025, canU, a sustainable fashion platform, held a book-sharing event for QíngGǎnYīJìu (情感衣旧) at Fotografiska in Shanghai. The event featured an exhibition of old clothes with stories, a forum with guests sharing their experiences, and a public call for old clothing stories.
The exhibition showcased real old clothes from dozens of guests, including an Art Deco-style cheongsam collected by artist Ding Yi, old leather boots that have been with musician Zhang Yidong for over twenty years, and a floral dress worn by creator Jiang Sida. These items, along with others, were displayed in a way that allowed visitors to interact with them closely and experience the emotions and memories they carry.
Burberry, the chief content partner, showcased its trench coats, highlighting the brand's respect for tradition and pursuit of innovation. The display included classic Heritage series trench coats, designs from previous creative directors, and personalized custom trench coats, demonstrating the timeless value of Burberry trench coats.
The event also marked the first time QíngGǎnYīJìu invited the public to share their old clothing stories. Visitors were encouraged to enter the "Emotional Hut" at the venue and share their stories, bringing buried memories back to life.
