ANTA unveils first sustainable concept store in Shanghai
In Shanghai's renowned Wukang Road, an eye-catching new storefront has emerged, captivating passersby with its fabric-clad details. On closer inspection, the green circular logo alongside ANTA ZERO makes it clear: Chinese sports brand ANTA is set to establish a sustainable concept store here — the ANTA Zero Carbon Mission Store.
According to group financial reports, as of June 2023, the ANTA brand has nearly 7,000 stores. The sustainable concept store located at 98 Wukang Road in Shanghai will become yet another distinctive addition to ANTA's store formats.
The name "ANTA Zero Carbon Mission Store" suggests it will be a store driven by sustainable goals. Additionally, the unveiling of a new green logo implies sustainability may become another hallmark of the ANTA brand image, tangibly presented to all consumers through this store.
The 0 Carbon Mission Store spans an area of 450 square meters. In addition to the exterior, which is made of discarded fabric, the store's interior decoration also uses more environmentally friendly materials and ingeniously incorporates waste materials from the original store's renovation into its design and construction; the product display racks and some props in the store will also be made from old fabric, remnants, and a small amount of recycled defective products from ANTA's warehouse.
At the same time, behind this store, there is ANTA's long-term investment and change around sustainability issues. Since becoming the official partner of the Chinese Olympic Committee in 2009, ANTA's independently developed Olympic technology has been continuously updated and iterated, accompanying 28 national teams to compete in the Olympics over the past 16 years. The "Champion Dragon Robe" designed by ANTA has also represented the entire image of Chinese sports on the Olympic stage.
On the occasion of the one-year countdown to the Paris Olympics, ANTA has also promised to use recycling technology to create award-winning equipment for the Chinese sports delegation to the Paris Olympics and, together with the Chinese Olympic Committee, launch a large-scale environmental protection project, the "Mountain and River Plan," to help the Olympics while spreading the concept of sustainable lifestyle.
