Amer Sports partners with Sourcemap

Amer Sports, owned by a consortium led by Chinese sportswear company ANTA Sports, has linked up with traceability solutions provider Sourcemap to verify the company's entire chain of custody from raw material to finished product.

The company which owns brands including Arc’teryx, Salomon and Wilson will leverage Sourcemap’s full-suite supply chain transparency solution to collect transaction certificates for certified materials, such as cotton and viscose, across its supply chain spanning five continents. It says the platform will enable it to keep on top of complex supply chains so that it can ensure compliance with legislation such as the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) in the USA.

Sourcemap's process connects direct and indirect suppliers, shipping lanes and transactions for an up-to-date graph of entire global operations. On average, Sourcemap customers discover more than 10,000 suppliers during the process. Since signing on as a customer, Amer has already undergone Sourcemap’s supplier discovery programme for one of its main raw materials, cotton, identifying upstream suppliers from farms to mills to factories within its supply chain.
