On September 5th, the "International Day of Charity," Chinese tech giant ByteDance has once again launched the "Dou-Love Charity Day" theme event, following last year's effort. The event focuses on issues such as rescuing wild animals, helping children with cleft lip and palate, caring for single mothers, and facilitating the integration of individuals with autism into society while advocating for "participating in the occurrence of beauty."

 

Gathering “sunshine points” on Douyin

During the campaign, users can simply search for "Dou-Love Charity Day" on Douyin to enter the main event venue. Through actions such as following, sharing, and participating in public welfare tasks, they can secure matched donations or make direct donations for public welfare projects that they support. Apart from the public welfare interaction at the main event venue, ByteDance has also teamed up with multiple institutions, including Elephant News and Jiupai News, to focus on key public welfare issues. They document real-life stories through videos to encourage more people to participate in public welfare activities.

Creating short videos + live streaming

During the International Day of Charity, ByteDance has also collaborated with over 10 creators on Douyin to visit offline public welfare projects, documenting and sharing stories about the frontline of public welfare through short videos and live streaming, to bring relevant groups to the attention of more people.

For example, ByteDance has teamed up with the One Foundation's Marine Paradise Program, which mainly serves children with special needs such as autism, to launch a deep short film on autism. Centered around the lives of four individuals with autism and their families, the film aims to give more people a glimpse into the real lives of individuals with autism and their families, shedding light on the challenges that family caregivers face in their daily lives and spirits.


Ordering public welfare goods on ByteMall

In addition, from September 5th to 15th, many celebrities and influencers as well as brand merchants will participate in and initiate a total of 10 public welfare special events for public welfare goods on ByteMall. Users can purchase public welfare goods through ByteMall and help support various public welfare causes such as children's education, rural revitalization, and women's care.

The relevant official of ByteMall stated that the platform hopes to leverage the potential of Douyin's ecological environment, engaging in more diverse public welfare interactions and creating more focused public welfare content. They are willing to participate in public welfare construction on a larger scale and with greater openness, joining hands with passionate users, creators, organizations, and institutions to participate in public welfare practices and promote the construction of a sustainable Internet public welfare ecosystem.
