AD(Architectural Digest)Magazine, together with Mr. Ju Bin, an internationally renowned architect, combined architecture, design, art and plants to create a contemporary garden, creating an exhibition fo home called "Yeyuan · Sustainability" (AD CASA). AD CASA launched a month-long exploration of the sustainable relationship between people and home, inviting the public to experience everything about home and life aesthetics, and explore the relationship between nature and artificial, design and aesthetics, coexistence and sustainability.

At present, there are many architects and interior designers all over the world who present the concept of "sustainability and environmental protection" in the design of "home". The designer Mr. Jubin has been awarded the AD100 Most Influential International Architecture and Design Elite for 3 consecutive years, and has devoted himself to researching the application and innovation of Chinese culture in architectural space for many years. "As the perpetuity of individual life and existence; the perpetuity of humanistic values is the extension of personal consciousness.” Based on this consensus, AD and Mr. Ju Bin chose "Garden" as the formal carrier of 2022 AD CASA. This inspiration comes from William Temple's discourse on the natural irregularity of Chinese gardens in UPON THE GARDENS OF EPICURUS, OR OF GARDENING IN THE YEAR 1685.

In "Undefined Island", Chen Xin uses her own hands to transform her inner spiritual world into a unique, persevering and existential utopia through works such as paintings and installations. Different from the compensatory utopian imagination based on the insufficiency of reality, this is based on fully respecting the inner life vitality of every kind of life and every individual, and faces all kinds of uncertainties such as fear, difficulty, pain and so on in reality, under the guidance of a certain enthusiasm towards future reality, an organic utopia is gradually generated, an "indefinable world" where everyone can find inner peace in scenery, smile and love.

It can be that "tough yet warm" state that manifests itself in a harsh, in different state of exception. It can also be the kind of perseverance and unyielding "stubbornness" shown in the face of a cool situation and huge pressure. It can be the female power that has been suppressed in the patriarchal system for a long time but full of wisdom, or it can be the inclusive and diverse, restrained but flexible potential that bursts out in the face of adversity.

In this utopia, all things have acquired a relaxed and harmonious state of life.

"Refuse" is the culmination of years of dialogue and preparation between Ed Atkins and Tank Shanghai, and represents a unique expression of the artist's past creative process. Just like the English title of the exhibition "refuse", it also symbolizes the meaning of "waste" of "rejection". All the works in the exhibition have a common point of irreconcilability between meaning and meaninglessness that leans towards the experiential.

Atkins hopes to exhibit a group of works that dialogue with space and reactivate space through soundand vision. He believes that, as a very post-industrial project, the exhibition "Refuse" somehow forms an echo with TANK Shanghai through its connection with waste, uselessness and excess production.

From the very beginning of life, art and expression have had a crucial impact on the development of human civilization. As we grow up, we gradually become accustomed to enriching the communication between people with a broader and more flexible language, and the role of art in it is to elevate the connection of life.

Centered on artistic expression, this exhibition invites several young artists to approach the theme of "interaction and connection" from three levels: Self-dialogue, small family dialogue, mass dialogue; use plants, photography, installations, films, music, art, literature and other forms to create. The purpose of this exhibition is to convey that artistic expression must be close to people and communicate with nature.
