To honor the International Day for Biological Diversity, on May 22, FENDI announced a two-year collaboration with AzzeroCO2 and the social cooperative La Nuova Arca for an inspiring urban biodiversity project to revitalize the pine forest in Falcognana, just outside Rome.

This reforestation endeavor aligns with LVMH’s broader commitment to preserving or restoring 5 million hectares (50,000 sq. km) of habitat by 2030, showcasing FENDI’s dedication to environmental and social initiatives in Italy. Developed in collaboration with AzzeroCO2 and La Nuova Arca, the project centres on revitalizing the endangered pine forest in Falcognana. AzzeroCO2, a sustainability consulting firm founded by Legambiente and Kyoto Club in 2004, has partnered with FENDI to identify the endangered pine forest surrounding the foster home run by La Nuova Arca, dedicated to assisting women and children in need as well as guiding migrants and refugees on their path towards integration.

Fendi’s two-year collaboration with La Nuova Arca and AzzeroCO2 marks a significant stride toward environmental conservation and community engagement. The initiative includes engaging Fendi employees in volunteer activities, including an event on International Earth Day. This collaboration underscores Fendi’s commitment to environmental stewardship and enhancing community well-being. By restoring the pine forest in Falcognana, Fendi, AzzeroCO2, and La Nuova Arca are making a meaningful contribution to both biodiversity and community welfare.
