The stage is set for the next generation of sustainable fashion innovators as the Hong Kong-based environmental NGO Redress reveals the semi-finalists for its highly anticipated Redress Design Award 2024. This renowned international competition celebrates and nurtures emerging talent in sustainable fashion design, drawing applications from aspiring designers worldwide.

Out of a pool of fashion design students representing 55 countries and regions, a select group of 30 young designers has been named as semi-finalists for the Redress Design Award 2024. Hailing from diverse cultural backgrounds, these aspiring designers showcase the global reach and impact of sustainable fashion.

Among the semi-finalists are Anchita Bhattacharya from India, Angelique Keizia from Indonesia, and Aya Letzter from Israel, each bringing their unique perspective and creativity to the forefront of sustainable fashion. Representing a broad spectrum of talent, the semi-finalists also include designers from established fashion capitals such as Christopher Lagasse from the US and Ines Announ from the Netherlands.

From this talented pool of semi-finalists, a distinguished panel of judges will select 10 finalists to advance to the next stage of the competition. The finalists, to be announced on May 9, will have the opportunity to participate in an educational bootcamp in Hong Kong, fully sponsored by Redress.

As tradition dictates, the grand final of the Redress Design Award 2024 is scheduled for September, featuring a captivating fashion show where finalists will unveil their sustainable collections to a global audience. This year's event promises to showcase the innovative designs and commitment to sustainability that define the future of fashion.

The Redress Design Award 2024 is proudly supported by the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), serving as the lead sponsor of this prestigious initiative.
