Plaza 66 Shanghai unveiled the Green Circle campaign

Plaza 66 Shanghai, owned by Hang Lung Properties, launched the Green Circle campaign with a particular focus on the promotion of a low-carbon lifestyle. The campaign aims to lead the drive for sustainable growth with artists creating art installations to make people think about the importance of sustainability. Brands including De Beers, Pomellato, Arc'teryx, etc. also joined the campaign to create eco-friendly experiences for their consumers, leading the public to embrace a conscious lifestyle.

During the campaign, Plaza 66 is transformed into the "Art For All" art installation by British visual artist Celyn Bricker, which is inspired by birdstrike, exploring how people and animals can live in harmony in the cities. The campaign also includes a garden made from recycled plastic, created by French artist Amandine Grandcolas. Here, shoppers can also smell the smell of the ocean, the forest, the earth, hear the wind, birds, the sound of running water, and nature from a wonderful dialogue. Plaza 66 also offers a series of workshops, leading guests to practice a green and beautiful lifestyle through a variety of interactive experiences, including natural wine appreciation, Pomellato gold leaf painting workshop, De Beers Miao embroidery art experience, Arc'teryx hiking masterclass, and so on.

Hang Lung has developed 25 sustainability targets to be achieved by the end of 2025, which address the four priorities outlined in Hang Lung’s Sustainability Framework, namely Climate Resilience, Resource Management, Wellbeing, and Sustainable Transactions, and which set out concrete and quantifiable measures for the company to address major sustainability challenges. In addition, Hang Lung became one of the first real estate companies in Asia to commit to setting both near- and long-term targets to reach net-zero value chain greenhouse gas emissions before 2050, in alignment with Science-Based Target initiative’s Net Zero Standard.
