Dalian University of Technology launched Carbon Neutrality Research Institute

In order to solve the prominent problem of resource and environmental constraints, it is an inevitable choice to promote carbon neutralization. On July 29, Dalian University of Technology Carbon Neutrality Research Institute was established through the in-depth cross-integration of disciplines, the integration of advantageous resources, and the establishment of the national key task team.

The research institute will focus on key technologies such as clean energy, carbon emission reduction, advanced energy saving, carbon capture and storage, and aim at the frontier of intelligent carbon emission reduction technology in the world. The institute will carry out discipline construction, training of top innovative talents, team building of academic leaders, international cooperation and exchanges, etc.

At the same time, the institute should also innovate the scientific research organization model, integrate internal and external resources, and realize the organic integration of key technologies, key teams, major projects, and key platforms. Make the research institute an important part of the national scientific and technological innovation system, strongly support the development of carbon neutral industry and low carbon economy, and help realize the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
