Crystal launches carbon emissions calculator to drive green design

Crystal Denim, the denim division of Crystal International, has unveiled its first carbon footprint calculator to advocate low-carbon design in the industry.
Crystal Denim has unveiled its new MyBluPrint carbon footprint calculator, which was created particularly for denim makers and measures carbon emissions for each manufacturing step along the process. After creation, MyBluPrint also helps users to understand the amount of carbon emissions generated from that particular product by analysing data traced from more than 200 manufacturing processes.
Crystal Denim will be unveiling a sneak peek of its sustainable acts next year—including collaborations with other industry peers along the supply chain, aiming to innovate 100-percent sustainable materials, work on different closed-loop and upcycling projects for fashion circularity, expand digitization for a 3D virtual journey, enhance low-carbon initiatives in manufacturing facilities, and drive for greener washing and finishing processes. All initiatives tie into one important belief—that it is possible to make zero environmental impact jeans for the world and create a greener fashion future.
